Hello folks, Stathis here! So today we will take a look at the
3rd member of the Abominus combiner. We will take a look at Unique Toys 0-01 Troll. So this is the box. You see a nice artwork
of Troll in his robot mode. This character is G1 Blot. On the top side of the box you see
him in his robot mode as well. On the bottom side of the box you see some
warnings. This figure is for ages 15 & up. On the sides of the box you see him
in his monster mode. And on the back side of the box you see
some product shots. Enough with the box, let's see the
accessories of the figure now. So, Blot comes with this card. Tech specs on the rear side of the card. He comes with the foot of Abominus. And of course, he comes with the instructions,
here they are. His transformation is not so complicated.
We will see it in a bit. Enough with the accessories, let's see
the figure from close now.
And here is Blot in his monster mode. It is supposed to be a troll…but it doesn't look
like a troll to be honest. 😛 It has a more modern aesthetic in compare
with his G1 character. We have placed the Reprolabels stickers on him.
This is the sticker sheet. As you can see, we have placed almost all of
them, except of some alternative symbols. So let's see them on the figure.
These two here are stickers. This is a sticker. There are stickers around his jaw. The Decepticon symbol here is a sticker. These two red here are stickers. These six yellow ones here are stickers.
On the sides of his legs, these are stickers. Finally, this one here is a sticker.
Nice extra details. As for his articulation, the head can move
only downwards, but it won't look natural. Also, the robot head will be visible. So basically there is no articulation
on the head. The arms cannot rotate! That's weird! They can only move up like this. And they have
a small motion back and forth, like this. The arms can rotate at this point. They cannot bend much at the elbow BUT you can
rotate the arm to the other side and now you will be able to have a better bend
at the elbow. Though, the robot mode's arm will be visible. There is rotation at the hand.
The fingers can move individually, they are on
ball-joints, they can rotate and they can move up and down. No waist rotation. The leg can move back and forth.
A little bit up. No rotation at the leg. The knee can bend on a nice hard ratchet joint. The foot can move up and down.
There is awesome ankle tilt. And finally, the heel can move only downwards. Blot has basic articulation in this mode.
I can't say I am satisfied by his articulation. Blot is a little bit hollow in some places, like here,
here, under his head and on his belly. So if you are bothered by this, then this figure
is not for you. There is a gimmick with the foot.
Pull these pieces out. Come on… Here you go! Bring out these pieces. It has a hole here, it will connect
with this peg here. Extend these bits. And you can place them on the sides
of his arms. And they will look like this.
You can also place them on the shoulders,
like this, but they will be very loose. There is one more gimmick you can do.
The foot can be transformed into a gun. Bring this piece down. These missiles
are now visible. Bring this bit out. Place the guns on the sides of the foot. And now you can connect it in this hole here. And now Blot is fully armed! There is no other weapon storage on him. These holes here are very loose for his weapons. Enough with his beast mode, let's see
a size comparison now. Here he is next to Lockdown's wolf.
Blot is not a big figure in this mode. I am bringing in Generations Warpath which
is a deluxe class figure. So, let's transform Blot into his robot mode. And here is Blot in his robot mode. We forgot the final step of the transformation,
we forgot to bring out the heels. And now he is completed. The robot mode is very nice. Although he has a big backpack, he doesn't
have any stability issues. The joints are normal, not too tight,
not too loose. He also has an angry expression on his face. He has nice red visor. As for the stickers in his robot mode, these two
here on his arms are stickers. These two here are stickers. These two on his legs are stickers.
Finally, these two here on the sides of his
arms are stickers. Few and nice details. Of course he can hold his weapons without
any problems. You can also store his weapons on the sides
of his arms. Or you can place it on his shoulder, like this.
Do whatever you want. As for the foot, the only storage place is to
put it in this hole here.
But yea, it looks a little bit stupid like this. We don't care about the foot, we only
care about his weapons! As for his articulation, the head can
rotate 360 degrees. It can move a little bit up and down and it has
a small tilt left and right. The arm can fully rotate.
The arm can move up this far. It can rotate at this point here.
There is double-jointed elbow. There is also fist rotation and the fist can
move inwards due to the transformation. There is waist rotation.
The leg can move forward this far. Backwards this far.
Sideways. It can rotate at the knee.
It can bend at the knee. We have a nice bend at the knee. The foot can move up and down,
it can also rotate. And the heel can move only downwards.
Blot has very good articulation. I really like his robot mode!
He looks very nice! So let's see a size comparison now.
Here he is next to two deluxe class figures,
Generations Scoop and Generations Orion Pax. Here he is next to a voyager class figure, Generations
Sandstorm and next to Masterpiece Red Alert. As you understand Blot is a voyager class figure. And finally, here he is next to his brothers,
Rippersnapper and Cutthroat! So, let's transform him back into his monster mode,
then to leg mode and then see the final thoughts! Final thoughts… it is a good figure generally. The foot has nice gimmicks when you combine it
with both of his modes. I wish his beast mode wasn't so hollow but it is
what it is. I didn't find any serious drawback on the figure
so I believe it is worth the money. The joints are fine and the plastic quality is good. So this was my review of Unique Toys Troll.
